The Sawbones (aka Saw) is a melee damage dealer, crowd controller and healing class in Gloomhaven. Hi everyone, Im a long time lurker on BGG but have decided to come out of the shadows. Also I have done a video guide on every single class in Gloomhaven. As always, comments welcome, and hope you will find some inspirations below! Tinkerer play-mat CLASS – and after over 20 scenarios he retired. In most guides Tinkerer is described as purely support class. Well, yes, he can do a lot in that area and sometimes also attack in range, but this can be a very versatile character. Once our Brute retired, and we were playing with Spellweaver and Doomstalker, he took a role of more-or-less front-man / tank. Health – a moderate health – much less then our Brute, but still more than Mindthief / Spellweaver.Other articled in the world of Gloomhaven:īrute strategy guide Spellweaver strategy guideĭoomstalker strategy guide Our Gloomhaven Campaign in chronological order Frosthaven – first look – starting classes (1/2) Frosthaven – first look – starting classes (2/2) (NEW!) Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion – Voidwarden and Demolitionist Crazy you may think? Well, that is what I meant about that class – it is pretty flexible. Stamina – very nice, with 12 cards plus as usually Stamina Potions (Major and Minor) he was easily able to survive till the end of scenarios. When needed, he was able to be in front lien and take couple of bruises. In the latest chapter of our Gloomhaven Digital Edition Tutor. Move – average – three 4-move cards, some 3 hex ones, nothing special but enough to catch up with the team. The Scoundrel is a lot of fun to play in Gloomhaven, with all of her tricks and special moves. ![]() Initiative – again, moderate – the fastest cards were in the range of 16-20 initiative, which allows usually to be early in turn, but not the first one.The game is meant to be played as part of a campaign, where a group of players will use the accompanying Scenario Book to string together a series of adventures, unlocking new content for the game as they progress. Loot – poor, only a lost card with that ability Kuba had to count on us to leave places with gold so he can loot them by finishing the turn in such spot. Scoundrel play-mat CLASS That character is a major melee damage dealer among the starting classes of the Gloomhaven. Gloomhaven is a cooperative game of battling monsters and advancing a player’s own individual goals. It's really a shame that the Scoundrel doesn't have better level up options. Some party members appreciate the Dark mana as well.įrom Level 5 onward, your hand choices dovetail with mine. And then you can use the top for invisibility, an easy 2 XP, and a big hit toward the end of a scenario. The Pull 2 is frequently useful for setting up adjacency, and it's pretty easy to combine with Quick Hands or Duelist's Advance to set up trap pulls. I also keep Smoke Bomb around for levels 2-4. The Move 6 is usually more movement than I need, and the Attack 3/5/7 isn't worth the loss unless you double it with Smoke Bomb, which you don't want to do outside of boss scenarios. The main selling point of Backstab for me is the 06 initiative, but the Scoundrel isn't hurting for fast initiatives. Though I agree with all of the level up card choices in this guide (the Scoundrel's card choices are frustratingly one-sided, IMO), I usually build my early hands a little differently.Īt Level 2, I usually drop Backstab rather than Venom Shiv. ![]()
